DESCRIPTION:Elena Pita\, director of the Biodiversity Foundation\, participates on July 17 at 12 noon in the opening ceremony of the meeting “The Cities We Want: Implementation of the European Mission of Cities in Spain”\, organized by the 2023 Summer Courses of the Menéndez Pelayo International University (UIMP). \nThis event is part of the Cities 2030 Mission: ‘One hundred smart and climate-neutral cities by 2030’. \nThe European Mission for Climate Neutral Cities is an initiative of the European Commission that promotes the sustainable transformation of European cities to mitigate the effects of climate change. Spain has taken a leading role in it thanks to the leadership of its cities\, the ecosystem of organisations – from the private\, social and academic sector – and the support of citiES 2030.
