{"id":97856208,"date":"2014-03-24T16:21:37","date_gmt":"2014-03-24T15:21:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fundacion-biodiversidad.es\/actualidad_home\/the-biodiversity-foundation-has-participated-in-the-2nd-conference-on-marine-stewardship-current-framework-and-future-perspectives\/"},"modified":"2014-03-24T16:21:37","modified_gmt":"2014-03-24T15:21:37","slug":"the-biodiversity-foundation-has-participated-in-the-2nd-conference-on-marine-stewardship-current-framework-and-future-perspectives","status":"publish","type":"actualidad_home","link":"https:\/\/fundacion-biodiversidad.es\/en\/actualidad_home\/the-biodiversity-foundation-has-participated-in-the-2nd-conference-on-marine-stewardship-current-framework-and-future-perspectives\/","title":{"rendered":"The Biodiversity Foundation has participated in the 2nd Conference on Marine Stewardship: Current Framework and Future Perspectives"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Biodiversity Foundation has participated in the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.custodiaterritori.org\/events\/ca_ES\/2013\/11\/25\/01\/2as-jornadas-de-custodia-marina-marco-actual-de-la-custodia-marina-y-perspectivas-de-futuro\" rel=\"noopener\">2nd Conference on Marine Stewardship: Current Framework and Future Perspectives<\/a>, held on November 25 in the Assembly Hall of the Sant Jordi Hall of Residence in Barcelona.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The Biodiversity Foundation has participated in the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.custodiaterritori.org\/events\/ca_ES\/2013\/11\/25\/01\/2as-jornadas-de-custodia-marina-marco-actual-de-la-custodia-marina-y-perspectivas-de-futuro\" rel=\"noopener\">2nd Conference on Marine Stewardship: Current Framework and Future Perspectives<\/a>, held on November 25 in the Assembly Hall of the Sant Jordi Hall of Residence in Barcelona.<\/p>\n<p>The aim of the meeting, organised by the Marine Stewardship Working Group &#8211; Xarxa de Cust\u00f2dia del Territori, the Biodiversity Foundation and the Government of Catalonia, was to raise awareness of the current framework of marine stewardship and the future prospects that can be achieved, in terms of participation and conservation of natural resources, habitats and species.<\/p>\n<p>During the day, the Biodiversity Foundation presented the<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.custodia-territorio.es\/\" rel=\"noopener\"> Land Stewardship Platform<\/a>, exposing the potential of land stewardship as a conservation tool, as well as the support that the Biodiversity Foundation has provided to this model of collaboration for conservation, through the call for grants, through the management of specific programmes,  such as the &#8220;Beaches, Volunteering and Land Stewardship&#8221; Program or integration into LIFE projects.<\/p>\n<p>The conference also served to reflect on the work carried out by custodian entities for the conservation of marine systems in Spain. These entities have sought to adapt this methodology and the concept of stewardship to the marine environment, taking into account its particularities. In this sense, the marine stewardship tries to define a conservation strategy that promotes the involvement of competent administrations, as well as users of the marine environment in the conservation of the natural, cultural and landscape values of the marine environment and the coast.  <\/p>\n<p>In this way, the morning has been dedicated to presentations where third sector entities have presented their initiatives, continuing with the intervention of representatives of the public administration. Finally, a session was held aimed at presentations by the members of the Marine Stewardship Working Group and other entities, ending the day with a debate session, which allowed all the contributions to be grouped in the &#8220;Marine Stewardship Declaration&#8221;. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":11,"featured_media":35209,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false},"palabras_clave":[],"class_list":["post-97856208","actualidad_home","type-actualidad_home","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.9 -
