The fight against climate change continues to be the incentive that has led to the development of the European Commission’s climate action campaign ‘The World You Want, with the Climate You Want’, a new initiative that has allowed the launch of a competition that, under the same name, seeks to promote citizen involvement in these actions against climate change. How? By presenting low-carbon projects, concrete actions to address climate change. <\/p>\n

\n<\/p>\n

The ‘The World You Want’ competition, promoted by the Directorate-General for Climate Action, calls on all citizens of the European Union to submit projects whose purpose is to avoid or reduce greenhouse gas emissions, while improving the quality of life of the population. To this end, projects can be submitted through the online form in five categories: Home and daily life; Shopping and food; Reuse and recycling; Travel and transport and Innovative production. <\/p>\n

For three months, on the ‘The World You Want’ <\/a>website  you will be able to visit and vote on the projects presented and of the ten best positioned, an expert jury, chaired by the European Commissioner for Climate Action, Connie Hedegaard, will decide the three winners of the ‘Sustainia \u2013 The World You Want’ Awards, which will be held in October 2013 in Copenhagen.<\/p>\n
