{"id":97856249,"date":"2014-03-24T16:22:00","date_gmt":"2014-03-24T15:22:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fundacion-biodiversidad.es\/actualidad_home\/great-trees-for-life-a-campaign-for-the-preservation-of-specimens-of-the-natura-2000-network\/"},"modified":"2014-03-24T16:22:00","modified_gmt":"2014-03-24T15:22:00","slug":"great-trees-for-life-a-campaign-for-the-preservation-of-specimens-of-the-natura-2000-network","status":"publish","type":"actualidad_home","link":"https:\/\/fundacion-biodiversidad.es\/en\/actualidad_home\/great-trees-for-life-a-campaign-for-the-preservation-of-specimens-of-the-natura-2000-network\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;Great Trees for Life&#8221;, a campaign for the preservation of specimens of the Natura 2000 Network"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The F\u00e9lix Rodr\u00edguez de la Fuente Foundation and the Valencia Provincial Council have organised a new campaign, &#8220;Great Trees for Life&#8221;, funded by the European Union&#8217;s LIFE+ instrument, one of the 202 projects chosen from among 1,078 initiatives presented in 2011.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->\n<\/p>\n<p>It is a project that was born with the aim of preserving unique trees and mature forests of the Natura 2000 Network and its area of influence, a stronghold of biodiversity and dynamizers of the local economy. Over the last century, more than 80% of the unique trees have disappeared. For this reason, the campaign plans various dissemination and awareness activities that will be carried out in Spain over the next three years that will improve the value of these unique trees, while reinforcing the importance of the relationship between man and nature.  <\/p>\n<p>The Royal Botanical Garden is the place selected for the presentation of the project, with the participation of the general director of the F\u00e9lix Rodr\u00edguez de la Fuente Foundation, Odile Rodr\u00edguez de la Fuente, the director of the &#8220;Great Trees for Life&#8221; project, C\u00e9sar Javier Palacios, the director of the Royal Botanical Garden of the CSIC, Gonzalo Nieto,  the general director of Environmental Quality and Assessment and the Natural Environment, Guillermina Yanguas and the president of the Provincial Council of Valencia, Alfonso Rus.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":11,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false},"palabras_clave":[],"class_list":["post-97856249","actualidad_home","type-actualidad_home","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.9 -
