{"id":97856308,"date":"2014-03-24T16:22:04","date_gmt":"2014-03-24T15:22:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fundacion-biodiversidad.es\/actualidad_home\/el-seco-de-los-olivos-closer-to-being-part-of-the-natura-2000-network\/"},"modified":"2014-03-24T16:22:04","modified_gmt":"2014-03-24T15:22:04","slug":"el-seco-de-los-olivos-closer-to-being-part-of-the-natura-2000-network","status":"publish","type":"actualidad_home","link":"https:\/\/fundacion-biodiversidad.es\/en\/actualidad_home\/el-seco-de-los-olivos-closer-to-being-part-of-the-natura-2000-network\/","title":{"rendered":"El Seco de los Olivos, closer to being part of the Natura 2000 Network"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Oceana concludes the 2012 Expedition &#8220;Exploring the Deep Sea&#8221; with more than 100 hours recorded of the marine elevation El Seco de los Olivos (Almeria).<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->\n<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to the use of an underwater robot, images of the seabed have been captured for three years, a material that is part of the European LIFE+ INDEMARES project and that will help when it comes to extending the Natura 2000 Network to marine areas such as this one, one of the areas with the greatest ecological value in Spain.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to this graphic material, protected fauna and flora have been discovered, such as the carnivorous sponge, white corals or the pig shark.
