On 25 October, the Secretary of State for the Environment, Federico Ramos, inaugurated the international exhibition ‘Wild Wonders of Europe’ in the Rose Garden of El Retiro Park.<\/p>\n

\n<\/p>\n

It is a traveling exhibition on wild fauna and flora, with a total of one hundred life-size images \u2013 out of more than 250,000 \u2013 taken by 69 photographers in 48 countries of the continent. The aim of this exhibition is to raise awareness of the different wild species that populate Europe’s natural heritage. <\/p>\n

During the inauguration, Federico Ramos wanted to emphasize the commitment of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment to the protection of natural heritage in Spain, which has 2,000 protected areas, a total of 14 million hectares, which represents 27% of the earth’s surface.<\/p>\n

Along with the Secretary of State were Vance Martin, the president of the Wild Foundation, the tennis player Rafa Nadal, as founder of the institution that bears his name, and other representatives of various conservation organizations.<\/p>\n

From the set of images, in relation to the Spanish natural heritage, you can see snapshots of species such as the mountain goat of the Sierra de Gredos or natural spaces such as the marshes of C\u00e1diz.<\/p>\n
