Until Tuesday, March 8, the exhibition “Biodiversity in Spain” is open to the public at the Assembly of Extremadura, in M\u00e9rida. <\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Organised by the Biodiversity Foundation of the Ministry of the Environment, Rural and Marine Affairs, the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and the Repsol Foundation, the tour is supported by 50 large-format images that convey the complexity of life in its various facets. It is about raising awareness about the responsibility of human beings in the dangerous decline of species and, therefore, it is an invitation to think about what it would mean to stop counting on the services provided by ecosystems. <\/p>\n
The open-air tour of the exhibition, which was produced by Lunwerg Editores, takes the visitor to know the many faces of life, with the comments of renowned scientists, selected by the popularizer Joaqu\u00edn Araujo.<\/p>\n
“Biodiversity in Spain” narrates in striking images specific stories, such as the reason for the terror that snakes usually inspire or why bears or primates are so attractive to us.<\/p>\n
Five sections constitute its structure: “What is life, do we know how to live?”; “The vital systems of Spain (endemism). Our multiplicity”; “Uses and abuses”; “Rescue operations” and “Towards coexistence with life. Liveliness as a model”.<\/p>\n
The idea, in short, is to bring the public closer to the rest of the inhabitants of this world and to learn about the enormous efforts made by all these species to stay alive, and thus be able to contribute to mitigating, as far as possible, the irreversible loss that the extinction of species entails.<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":11,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false},"palabras_clave":[],"class_list":["post-97857162","actualidad_home","type-actualidad_home","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"\n
