The project is based on the journey, along the Mediterranean coast, of a replica of the ‘Nao Victoria’ as a unique vehicle and dissemination platform for knowledge and understanding of the values and problems of the coast. <\/p>\n

The Director of Communication and Awareness of the Biodiversity Foundation, Julia Vera, together with Juan Salas Tornero, president of the Nao Victoria Foundation, and Esperanza Perea Acosta, General Director of Sustainable Development and Environmental Information of the Junta de Andaluc\u00eda, presented on Thursday, March 31, at a press conference in the port of Malaga, the awareness campaign “Costa a la vista!”, which has been running along the Andalusian coast since the beginning of March, and will continue to do so throughout the month of April.<\/p>\n

The project is based on the journey along the Mediterranean coast of a replica of the ‘Nao Victoria’ as a unique vehicle and dissemination platform for knowledge and understanding of the values and problems of the coast. To this end, a programme of itinerant activities has been launched that includes educational and didactic stopovers in the ports of C\u00e1diz, Benalm\u00e1dena, M\u00e1laga, Motril and Carboneras. <\/p>\n

Various actions have been programmed, both sailing and in port, such as exhibitions on board, workshops, storytelling, a coastal classroom, arranged visits, open days and a volunteer programme with young Andalusian university students. The exact dates of this itinerary, as well as news related to the campaign and a logbook, are available to all those interested in the project’s blog<\/a><\/strong>, a log that will describe everything that happens around the 279 nautical miles that the Nao Victoria will travel along the coasts of the provinces of Cadiz, Malaga, Granada and Almeria. <\/p>\n

The boat is a life-size replica of the ship that was commanded by Juan Sebasti\u00e1n Elcano and that in the sixteenth century successfully completed the first circumnavigation of the world, thus confirming the roundness of the earth. The current ship uses the same navigation techniques as the Spanish boats of that time and will be docked until next Sunday, April 3 in Malaga, to offer throughout the weekend an extensive calendar of activities that includes arranged visits, talks on board and open days. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":11,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false},"palabras_clave":[],"class_list":["post-97857178","actualidad_home","type-actualidad_home","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"\nIn Malaga, the project "Costa a la vista!" -
