The Minister of the Environment, Cristina Narbona, presided over the signing of the agreement between the Biodiversity Foundation and H. Bauer Ediciones S.L., publisher of the magazine “Los Lunnis”. The purpose of this agreement is to disseminate environmental content in the pages of this publication aimed at children. <\/p>\n

During this event, which took place at the Royal Botanical Garden of Madrid, Cristina Narbona was accompanied by the director of the Biodiversity Foundation, Mar\u00eda Artola, the CEO of H. Bauer Ediciones S.L., Heidi von Lilienfeld, and the director of the magazine “Los Lunnis”, Marisol Pi\u00f1ero. <\/p>\n
Likewise, after the official signing, the capercaillie “Paquito”, a character from the BioD\u00edver children’s section of the Biodiversity Foundation website, and Lupita, a character from Los Lunnis, have signed the agreement under the watchful eye of 110 children. <\/p>\n
With the celebration of this event, we also wanted to commemorate World Forest Day, which is celebrated tomorrow, March 21. For this reason, the children attending have dressed up as trees, and the activities and games developed during this morning have run under the slogan “We are all trees”. <\/p>\n
The little ones have been photographed with the characters of BioD\u00edver, the lynx “May\u00fa”, the capercaillie “Paquito” and the brown bear “Robin”, and with the characters of Los Lunnis “Lupita” and “Lucho”. On the other hand, the magazine “Los Lunnis” has provided them with the necessary material to cut out and color pages of this publication. <\/p>\n
The children also participated in the “Countdown” game. It is an activity similar to the well-known “game of the goose” in which children have fun on a huge board on which endangered species are represented. Through it they have to save endangered animals and plants, avoid the dangers that lie in wait for them and reach the year 2010 with all the species saved. Along with the lynx, the capercaillie and the brown bear, other secondary characters have been included, representing endangered species such as the ferreret, the Iberian wolf, the imperial eagle and the loggerhead turtle. This hobby allows the little ones to learn about the problems of our most endangered fauna and flora in our country. <\/p>\n
Precisely, the April issue of the magazine “Los Lunnis” includes in its central pages the game of the “Countdown”. With the signing of this agreement, this publication declares itself “friend of nature”.
