The Minister of the Environment, Cristina Narbona, has presented the 2005 Biodiversity Reporting Awards. A contest organized by the Biodiversity Foundation and the environmental organization Conservation International. At this event, the minister was accompanied by the Secretary General for Territory and Biodiversity and President of the Board of Trustees of the Biodiversity Foundation, Antonio Serrano, the Director General of the Biodiversity Foundation, Mar\u00eda Artola, and the Vice President of Communication of Conservation International, Haroldo Castro. <\/p>\n

The Prize for Reporting on Biodiversity in Spain recognises the best works on biodiversity conservation published in the Spanish press, radio, television and online media during 2005. The winning report in each of these four categories has been awarded 3,000 euros. <\/p>\n
In the written press category, the winning report was “Nos est\u00e1is volver locos”, published by Javier Rico in El Pa\u00eds Semanal. In radio, “Biodiversity in Castilla y Le\u00f3n”, made by Jos\u00e9 Antonio Quirce on Onda Cero Segovia, has been awarded. The winning work in the television category was “Galapagos, Para\u00edso o Infierno”, by Ezequiel Mart\u00ednez and Miguel Monta\u00f1o, broadcast on Canal Sur Television. In the online category, “Biodiversity Conservation”, published by \u00c1lex Fern\u00e1ndez Muerza in Consumer.es, has been awarded. <\/p>\n
