{"id":97857761,"date":"2014-03-24T16:23:01","date_gmt":"2014-03-24T15:23:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fundacion-biodiversidad.es\/actualidad_home\/the-government-agrees-on-a-transfer-through-the-tagus-segura-aqueduct-of-38-5-cubic-hectometres\/"},"modified":"2014-03-24T16:23:01","modified_gmt":"2014-03-24T15:23:01","slug":"the-government-agrees-on-a-transfer-through-the-tagus-segura-aqueduct-of-38-5-cubic-hectometres","status":"publish","type":"actualidad_home","link":"https:\/\/fundacion-biodiversidad.es\/en\/actualidad_home\/the-government-agrees-on-a-transfer-through-the-tagus-segura-aqueduct-of-38-5-cubic-hectometres\/","title":{"rendered":"The Government agrees on a transfer through the Tagus-Segura Aqueduct of 38.5 cubic hectometres"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Government, after hearing the Ministries of Environment and Agriculture, has approved a transfer of 38.5 cubic hectometres to supply from the Tagus to the Segura Basin for the third quarter of the hydrological year, which includes the months of April to June.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The Government has taken this decision following the same criteria of maximum prudence that it used in the meetings of the past Councils of Ministers that have addressed this issue, giving absolute priority to guaranteeing human supply throughout the hydrological year, taking into account the drastic drop in rainfall contributions in the reservoirs at the head of the Tagus.  whose levels today stand at 332 cubic hectometres.  <\/p>\n<p>  Since the beginning of the drought, the Government has invested more than 420 million euros in emergency actions and, with this, restrictions in cities have been avoided. Almost 300 million of what was invested corresponds to the Segura Basin, the most affected by the reduction in rainfall.   <\/p>\n<p>  The Government reiterates its commitment to promote the reorientation of water policy throughout Spain, initiated at the beginning of this legislature, to improve public control of the use of water \u2013 both surface and groundwater \u2013 as well as its quality, accelerating the process of modernising irrigation and increasing savings and efficiency in water consumption.  to guarantee, in a stable way, the availability of good quality water, even in periods of drought.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":11,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false},"palabras_clave":[],"class_list":["post-97857761","actualidad_home","type-actualidad_home","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.9 -
