{"id":97857943,"date":"2015-02-03T15:34:52","date_gmt":"2015-02-03T14:34:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fundacion-biodiversidad.es\/actualidad_home\/42-new-climate-projects-approved-to-reduce-co2\/"},"modified":"2015-02-03T15:34:52","modified_gmt":"2015-02-03T14:34:52","slug":"42-new-climate-projects-approved-to-reduce-co2","status":"publish","type":"actualidad_home","link":"https:\/\/fundacion-biodiversidad.es\/en\/actualidad_home\/42-new-climate-projects-approved-to-reduce-co2\/","title":{"rendered":"42 new Climate Projects approved to reduce CO2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and the Environment selects 42 Climate Projects 2014 <!--more--> The Minister of Agriculture, Food and the Environment,<strong> Isabel Garc\u00eda Tejerina<\/strong>, today chaired the presentation of the 42 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.magrama.gob.es\/es\/cambio-climatico\/temas\/fondo-carbono\/Proyectos_Clima.aspx\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Climate Projects<\/a> selected by the Governing Council of the Carbon Fund in the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.magrama.gob.es\/es\/cambio-climatico\/temas\/fondo-carbono\/Convocatoria-2014-proyectos-clima.aspx\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">2014 call<\/a>. These projects will allow the reduction <strong>of almost one million tonnes of CO2 in Spain<\/strong> in the so-called &#8220;diffuse&#8221; sectors (transport, residential, commercial, institutional, waste, industry, agriculture and fluorinated products). <\/p>\n<p> Through the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.magrama.gob.es\/es\/cambio-climatico\/temas\/fondo-carbono\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Carbon Fund<\/a>, the <strong>Ministry of Agriculture, Food and the Environment <\/strong><strong>acquires verified emission reductions <\/strong>from the Climate Projects developed in Spain, through the purchase of these reductions by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.magrama.gob.es\/es\/cambio-climatico\/temas\/organismos-e-instituciones-implicados-en-la-lucha-contra-el-cambio-climatico-a-nivel-nacional\/oficina-espanola-en-cambio-climatico\/default.aspx\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Spanish Office for Climate Change<\/a>, under the Ministry, while generating sustainable economic activity and promoting employment in our country.<\/p>\n<p>  These <a href=\"http:\/\/www.magrama.gob.es\/es\/cambio-climatico\/temas\/fondo-carbono\/Proyectos_Clima_seleccionados_2014_tcm7-359871.pdf\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">42 projects<\/a> involve 65 new actions in diffuse sectors with a presence in all autonomous communities.
