{"id":97857987,"date":"2016-04-26T08:11:45","date_gmt":"2016-04-26T06:11:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fundacion-biodiversidad.es\/actualidad_home\/linking-biodiversity-business-management-climate-change-and-the-circular-economy\/"},"modified":"2016-04-26T08:11:45","modified_gmt":"2016-04-26T06:11:45","slug":"linking-biodiversity-business-management-climate-change-and-the-circular-economy","status":"publish","type":"actualidad_home","link":"https:\/\/fundacion-biodiversidad.es\/en\/actualidad_home\/linking-biodiversity-business-management-climate-change-and-the-circular-economy\/","title":{"rendered":"Linking Biodiversity Business Management, Climate Change and the Circular Economy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Biodiversity Foundation of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and the Environment has participated in the presentation of two documents that analyse the <strong>link between the business management of biodiversity, climate change and the circular economy. <\/strong>These documents have been produced within the framework of the project <strong>&#8220;Responsible with Biodiversity: connecting knowledge and trends&#8221;,<\/strong> which is managed by For\u00e9tica with the support of the Biodievrsidad Foundation. The conference was attended by representatives of the public administration, academics, journalists, NGOs and companies. <\/p>\n<p>  The text analyzes the link between biodiversity and climate change, and the challenges and opportunities involved in its management. The research focuses on the role of biodiversity in <strong>mitigating and adapting<\/strong> to the effects of climate change and provides examples of biodiversity business management actions that meet the objective of fighting global warming.<\/p>\n<p> The second research carried out by For\u00e9tica is an infographic that breaks down the link between natural capital and the circular economy into different points, that is, how biodiversity plays a very important role in each phase of this economic model that aims at efficiency in the use of resources and environmental protection. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>  The conference was attended by the <strong>deputy director of the Biodiversity Foundation, Ignacio Torres<\/strong>, who pointed out that &#8220;although there is still much to do, it is true that we are increasingly aware of the importance of conserving our ecosystems, on which our well-being and that of future generations depends. And we are all involved in this, the administration, the private sector and the citizens.
