In turn, these companies will be <strong>sent as representatives to the European Commission<\/strong> for the awards at the European level.<\/p>\n<p> This year there have been 125 nominations received to participate in these Awards for the different categories, <strong>38 of them large companies and 61 SMEs<\/strong>. The applications have been divided into the categories: &#8220;Management for sustainable development&#8221;, &#8220;Product and\/or service for sustainable development&#8221;, &#8220;Process for sustainable development&#8221;, &#8220;International business cooperation for development&#8221;, and the special category &#8220;Business and Biodiversity&#8221;.  <br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<strong>The Biodiversity Foundation has been coordinating the Spanish section<\/strong> of these awards since 2013 with the aim of &#8220;ensuring that there is Spanish representation among the winning companies of the Awards at European level, as happened with Red El\u00e9ctrica de Espa\u00f1a in the last edition&#8221;, as explained by its director and president of the jury, Sonia Casta\u00f1eda.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>  The jury, made up <strong>of eleven experts in sustainability and business<\/strong>, has evaluated the <strong>125 applications submitted <\/strong>for all categories and has selected two companies for each of them, one large and one small. In addition to a maximum of two runners-up per category. After the meeting, up to a maximum of twelve selected candidates will be sent to the European Commission, who will compete for the European selection of the awards, which will be announced in <strong>October of this year in the town of Tallinn<\/strong> (Estonia).  <br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>  Sonia Casta\u00f1eda thanked the collaboration of the jury, which included &#8220;experts of the highest level, representatives of different fields such as the private sector, the third sector and public institutions, and who are a key piece to maintain the prestige of these awards&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>  The jury&#8217;s decision will be known at the end of spring, when the awards ceremony will take place in its Spanish section.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":11,"featured_media":35681,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false},"palabras_clave":[35,86,379],"class_list":["post-97858003","actualidad_home","type-actualidad_home","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","palabras_clave-biodiversidad","palabras_clave-empresa","palabras_clave-premios"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.9 -
