The AEMET has hosted a meeting in which examples of the climate commitments of 35 agents, entities and citizens have been presented. More than 700 companies, entities and organizations committed to the fight against climate change have so far joined the “One Million Commitments for the Climate”<\/a> initiative, which started last June promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment and ECODES,<\/strong> and which has also been joined by thousands of citizens.

“One Million Climate Commitments” has met its goal of adding 1,000,000 support against climate change<\/strong>, a challenge that was raised at the presentation of this project last June. This million commitments will be presented by Spain in the coming days as a contribution to the Climate Change Summit to be held in Paris from 30 November to 11 December.  
\n 
The headquarters of the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) today hosted a meeting in which examples of the commitments<\/strong> of 35 different agents, entities and citizens who have joined the “One Million Climate Commitments” initiative were presented.<\/p>\n

The meeting, in which different organisations and citizens shared their commitments to the climate, was led by Sonia Casta\u00f1eda, director of the Biodiversity Foundation of the<\/strong> Ministry of Agriculture, Food and the Environment, and V\u00edctor Vi\u00f1uales, president of the Ecology and Development Foundation (ECODES). Both the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and the Environment and ECODES have thanked all the citizens and entities involved for their participation, as their collaboration has been key to adding this million commitments that Spain will present as a contribution to the Paris Summit.

Facing the fight against climate change is a common task for all, so for the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment it is essential to have “allies”, both citizens and companies are important in this work. During the event held today, 35 entities, including large and medium-sized companies, associations, foundations, public administrations, presented some examples of the commitments they have adopted within the framework of this initiative or at an individual level.
