{"id":97858040,"date":"2015-09-24T15:03:17","date_gmt":"2015-09-24T13:03:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fundacion-biodiversidad.es\/actualidad_home\/concrete-improvements-for-the-fisheries-sector-and-biodiversity\/"},"modified":"2015-09-24T15:03:17","modified_gmt":"2015-09-24T13:03:17","slug":"concrete-improvements-for-the-fisheries-sector-and-biodiversity","status":"publish","type":"actualidad_home","link":"https:\/\/fundacion-biodiversidad.es\/en\/actualidad_home\/concrete-improvements-for-the-fisheries-sector-and-biodiversity\/","title":{"rendered":"Concrete improvements for the fisheries sector and biodiversity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Secretary General of Fisheries of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and the Environment, Andr\u00e9s Hermida, has valued the effort made by the entities that have presented <a href=\"http:\/\/fundacion-biodiversidad.es\/prensa\/notas-de-prensa\/andres-hermida-valora-el-esfuerzo-de-integracion-de-las-politicas-de-gestion\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>marine conservation and fisheries projects<\/strong><\/a> &#8220;to integrate the policies of management and sustainable exploitation of resources, with those of protection of the coast and the marine environment&#8221;, with which &#8221; <strong>the fishing sector is reinforced in the long term<\/strong>&#8220;.  Hermida pointed out.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>  A total of <a href=\"http:\/\/fundacion-biodiversidad.es\/biodiversidad-marina-litoral\/proyectos-de-convocatorias-de-ayudas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>28 projects presented by public and private entities<\/strong><\/a>, which have been beneficiaries of the call for aid co-financed by the <strong>European Fisheries Fund<\/strong> (EFF) and the Ministry through the <strong>Biodiversity Foundation<\/strong>, which has acted as an Intermediate Management Body, and whose results have been presented today at the General Secretariat of Fisheries.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>  An event in which the co-financed projects were announced, distributed in five blocks: <a href=\"http:\/\/fundacion-biodiversidad.es\/sites\/default\/files\/programa-acto-fep.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Discards and waste; Selectivity of marine gear and reserves; Protection and conservation of fishery resources and reduction of by-catches; Aquaculture and Awareness and ICT<\/strong><\/a>.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>  In this presentation, the Secretary General underlined the <strong>strategic nature of the fishing sector in Spain<\/strong>, as it generates 1,238,745 tonnes of fishery products with an economic value of more than 2,600 million euros. It also has, Hermida pointed out, a prominent role in the social and economic development of many areas of our geography, contributing to the creation of quality employment, especially among the most vulnerable groups. <br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>  For this reason, he has opted to make fishing activity more attractive for young people, stressing that it is &#8220;a <strong>modern way of life that contributes to a better diet of our society and a better preserved environment<\/strong>&#8221; and to promote the role of women who &#8220;already represent 14% of employment in the fishing sector at European level,  and at the national level around 36%&#8221;.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":11,"featured_media":35632,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false},"palabras_clave":[129,318,99,49,93],"class_list":["post-97858040","actualidad_home","type-actualidad_home","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","palabras_clave-conservacion","palabras_clave-fep","palabras_clave-mar","palabras_clave-marina","palabras_clave-pesca"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.9 -
