Women entrepreneurs in the field of the green economy have been made visible and the existing mechanisms to advance in this type of entrepreneurship in Spain have been made known, with special interest in rural areas.
\n<\/p>\n

The Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO) has organized the conference “Advancing in women’s green entrepreneurship”, a meeting broadcast virtually<\/a>, where women entrepreneurs in the field of the green economy have been made visible and the existing mechanisms to advance in this type of entrepreneurship in Spain have been announced. with special interest in rural areas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The conference, inaugurated by the Undersecretary for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge<\/strong>, Miguel Gonz\u00e1lez, was attended by some twenty<\/strong> experts <\/strong>who have identified success factors and possible synergies between the public sector and civil society to promote women’s green entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Hugo Mor\u00e1n, closed the conference <\/strong>and highlighted “the decisive role of women as agents of change in the ecological transition and against territorial depopulation” and pointed out that “strengthening women’s green entrepreneurship as an essential focus in all our territories is not only a strategic issue, but also of principles.”<\/p>\n

The conference was structured in three round tables. In the first, moderated by Juana L\u00f3pez Pag\u00e1n<\/strong>, Director General of Policies against Depopulation, the capacities of the public sector to advance in green entrepreneurship were discussed, particularly taking into account the needs of rural areas and younger women. <\/p>\n

In the second of them, moderated by Elena Pita Dom\u00ednguez<\/strong>, director of the Biodiversity Foundation, the instruments that already exist to support green entrepreneurs have been announced.<\/p>\n

Finally, in the third table, moderated by Marta Mart\u00ednez Guerra<\/strong>, director of the Technical Office of the Undersecretariat for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, different businesswomen from various fields (including entrepreneurs from the Emprendeverde Network<\/a> of the Empleaverde Program) shared ideas and models of success that serve as a reference to promote the participation and leadership of women on the path to sustainable entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n

Support for women’s entrepreneurship<\/strong> in different areas of the green economy throughout the territory combines two of the fundamental pillars of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, a greener country without gender gaps<\/strong>. For this reason, the role of women is essential to guarantee a more sustainable, egalitarian and inclusive model. <\/p>\n
