{"id":97862395,"date":"2014-03-24T16:22:00","date_gmt":"2014-03-24T15:22:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fundacion-biodiversidad.es\/actualidad_home\/the-call-for-grants-to-promote-environmental-information-in-the-media-is-now-open\/"},"modified":"2014-03-24T16:22:00","modified_gmt":"2014-03-24T15:22:00","slug":"the-call-for-grants-to-promote-environmental-information-in-the-media-is-now-open","status":"publish","type":"actualidad_home","link":"https:\/\/fundacion-biodiversidad.es\/en\/actualidad_home\/the-call-for-grants-to-promote-environmental-information-in-the-media-is-now-open\/","title":{"rendered":"The call for grants to promote environmental information in the media is now open"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment (MAGRAMA), through the Biodiversity Foundation, has announced the granting of grants to promote the publication and broadcasting of environmental information in the media for the year 2013.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->\n<\/p>\n<p>This call for grants is aimed at national media: multimedia communication groups that publish daily national news editions in paper and electronic format, radio stations with national coverage and news agencies with national coverage.<\/p>\n<p>The aim of these is to achieve greater environmental awareness in society, given the role played by the media as providers of information and generators of opinion among citizens.<\/p>\n<p>These grants, endowed with a total of 375,000 euros, seek to promote the increase of information that addresses the conservation of natural heritage, biodiversity, sustainable development or climate change, among other environmental content that is a way to promote greater education, awareness and information among society. It also promotes those spaces that offer information on the business-biodiversity binomial, sustainable economy, green employment and entrepreneurship. <\/p>\n<p>The deadline for submitting projects is <strong>15 April<\/strong>.
