{"id":97861598,"date":"2014-03-24T12:23:32","date_gmt":"2014-03-24T11:23:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fundacion-biodiversidad.es\/programa_empleaverde\/responsible-agriculture-an-alternative-model-of-progress-for-rural-areas\/"},"modified":"2014-03-24T12:23:32","modified_gmt":"2014-03-24T11:23:32","slug":"responsible-agriculture-an-alternative-model-of-progress-for-rural-areas","status":"publish","type":"programa_empleaverde","link":"https:\/\/fundacion-biodiversidad.es\/en\/programa_empleaverde\/responsible-agriculture-an-alternative-model-of-progress-for-rural-areas\/","title":{"rendered":"Responsible Agriculture: an alternative model of progress for rural areas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n            <span>In contrast to the business model imposed by large distributors, responsible agriculture is defined as agricultural and livestock production and distribution that, aware of its social and environmental value, includes a whole series of factors ranging from the production of environmentally responsible food, care for the sustainability of production,  the reduction of distribution channels and the use of alternative and innovative channels, the consumer demand for first-hand knowledge of the origin of food and its assured quality.<\/span>\n          <\/p>\n<p>          <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>In contrast to the business model imposed by large distributors, responsible agriculture is defined as agricultural and livestock production and distribution that, aware of its social and environmental value, includes a whole series of factors ranging from the production of environmentally responsible food, care for the sustainability of production,  the reduction of distribution channels and the use of alternative and innovative channels, the consumer demand for first-hand knowledge of the origin of food and its assured quality.<\/p>\n<p>The overall objective of this action is to create a range of tools and advisory services that, when made available to the recipients, will enable them to adopt the responsible agriculture business model, securing jobs and creating new green employment opportunities in the agricultural sector, especially for disadvantaged groups such as women and young people.<\/p>\n<p>The direct target audience of the project is farmers and ranchers who are either interested in responsible agriculture, as a way to improve production and distribution methods on their farms, or are looking for an innovative business model that allows them to create a new company and\/or new jobs. It is especially focused on women and young people in rural areas as the most disadvantaged groups, for whom this initiative is in a position to offer notable benefits. <\/p>\n<p>This project aims to:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Training of 25 recipients, although the project will reach 1,061 workers.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Creation of 4 business lines in &#8220;Sustainable Responsible Agriculture&#8221; as an alternative model to conventional agricultural activity.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Implementation of actions to change the production and marketing model followed by the farmer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":22405,"parent":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false},"financiaci_n":[650],"lineas_actuacion_tematicas":[654],"class_list":["post-97861598","programa_empleaverde","type-programa_empleaverde","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","financiaci_n-fundacion-biodiversidad-en","lineas_actuacion_tematicas-terrestrial-ecosystems"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.9 -
