This project focuses on the development of training actions in the forestry and environmental field with the aim of diversifying forest management, promoting the multifunctionality of forests and disseminating good practices in fire prevention and self-protection. Issues of entrepreneurship and digitalization in the forestry sector will also be addressed, seeking to improve professionalization and vocation in this field, as well as to promote the green economy in rural areas and mitigate depopulation problems. <\/p>\n
The Sierra Morena Natural Park in Seville has been chosen as the area of action, a region of 177,484 hectares, where forest ecosystems that have suffered depopulation and abandonment predominate, in addition to being threatened by fires in a context of climate change. The municipalities involved, such as Alan\u00eds and Cazalla de la Sierra, are facing a significant population decline, which is related to the loss of traditional rural activities and the lack of job opportunities. <\/p>\n
The Andalusian Forest Plan 2030 identifies weaknesses in the forestry sector, such as stagnation in training and the ageing of the population, which highlights the disconnect between the training offer and the needs of the sector. Despite the existence of education centres, training is not adapted to local realities and many rural areas lack adequate training resources. <\/p>\n
To address these needs, training actions will be designed in collaboration with local entities and the forest administration, including forest management techniques, fire prevention, and digitalization, with a special focus on empowering women and disadvantaged groups. The trainings will be carried out in spaces provided by local administrations and will seek to increase employability and diversify the local economy. <\/p>\n
The project aims not only to improve the quality of life and the perception of natural heritage in the region, but also to create a culture of self-protection and environmental responsibility, taking advantage of digitalization and entrepreneurship to adapt the sector to current demands.
