The work of collecting gorgonians caught accidentally continues and soft corals are included, keeping them in aquariums installed in the Fishermen&#8217;s Guilds that collaborate in the project, and then reintroducing them into the environment. In addition, new colonies of gorgonians (100 colonies) will be formed by fragmentation and new recruits (50 recruits) will be generated by sexual reproduction.  <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">As a novelty, ecotourism outings will be included to return gorgonians accidentally caught, during the tourist season. All this with the aim of mitigating the impact of artisanal fishing on benthic communities dominated by gorgonians. <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Each of the four specific objectives of this second phase of the <em>ResCap<\/em> project represents a novel and significant step towards the conservation of deep-sea marine ecosystems.
