The first includes the holding of four scientific-technical seminars aimed at the fishing sector (operators, shipowners, skippers, guilds, and members of FLAGs), the Administration and the scientific community, which will take place in Madrid and different coastal areas. These seminars aim to introduce the sector to the basic notions of the fundamentals of scientific research applied to fisheries, the &#8220;a-b-c&#8221; of fisheries science.  <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The second line of action includes the development of a pilot project to improve the data collection system, with the aim of optimising the scientific methodology to which the fishing sector has already been contributing for years. In addition, in order to improve the fishing activity carried out in areas of the Natura 2000 Network, by-catch data will also be collected.
