The initiative has focused on the development and testing of an algorithm for extracting sizes of a species, the llampuga (<em>Coryphaena hippurus<\/em>), from standard photos that are sent from the Integrated Traceability Units (UITs), scales with an integrated automatic camera and experimentally located by the Government of the Balearic Islands in the pilot port. <\/p>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\" style=\"text-align: justify\">The information generated by ITUs and fine-tuned with this project is based on the following process:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<li class=\"rtejustify\">Each fisherman places each unloaded box at ITU at the port of unloading.<\/li>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\">A weight value, species composition of the box, photo, date, time and characteristics of the boat are generated.<\/li>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\">This information is sent to IMEDEA (beneficiary entity) automatically.<\/li>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\">In IMEDEA, this information is processed, based on the algorithm developed in FOTOPEIX, so that an average size is assigned to the species of that specific box.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\" style=\"text-align: justify\">This information allows us to know in practically real time the variation in size of certain species and improve fisheries management systems and product traceability.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.programapleamar.es\/proyectos\/fotopeix-i-unidades-integradas-de-trazabilidad-desarrollos-tecnologicos-para-el-calculo\">See the project<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":22405,"parent":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false},"financiaci_n":[652],"lineas_actuacion_tematicas":[655],"class_list":["post-97861677","programa_pleamar","type-programa_pleamar","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","financiaci_n-fondo-europeo-maritimo-de-pesca-en","lineas_actuacion_tematicas-marine-ecosystems"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.9 -
