{"id":97861827,"date":"2020-11-16T12:37:16","date_gmt":"2020-11-16T11:37:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fundacion-biodiversidad.es\/programa_pleamar\/sensimar-environmental-awareness-in-shellfish-areas\/"},"modified":"2020-11-16T12:37:16","modified_gmt":"2020-11-16T11:37:16","slug":"sensimar-environmental-awareness-in-shellfish-areas","status":"publish","type":"programa_pleamar","link":"https:\/\/fundacion-biodiversidad.es\/en\/programa_pleamar\/sensimar-environmental-awareness-in-shellfish-areas\/","title":{"rendered":"SENSIMAR &#8211; Environmental awareness in shellfish areas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\n            <strong>Description<\/strong>\n          <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Through the SENSIMAR project, the shellfish areas of the R\u00eda de Vigo will be studied in detail, focusing on the areas of special protection included in the Natura 2000 Network, on the importance of the co-management of shellfish banks so that they provide resources in a sustainable way and on how actions on land and sea can have great repercussions on these spaces &#8211; loss of marine biodiversity &#8211; and compromise the sustainability of shellfish activity.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">To this end, the campaign will make a first approach to knowledge about the biological and ecological importance of shellfish banks in a specific area.
