Recently, new scientific evidence points to a potential beneficial effect of probiotics at the reproductive level in teleost model species. The hypothesis of this project aims to evaluate whether the intake of probiotics during the cultivation of Senegalese sole in the larval and juvenile stages improves their reproductive quality parameters from a molecular, tissue and biometric point of view by combining basic and applied research. PROBISOLE aims to give a new approach to probiotic supplementation as a biotechnological tool in reproductive improvement in this species of high commercial interest.
