{"id":97862218,"date":"2020-11-16T13:02:27","date_gmt":"2020-11-16T12:02:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fundacion-biodiversidad.es\/programa_pleamar\/ecoser-contribution-of-marine-ecosystem-services-of-protected-natural-areas-to-human-well-being\/"},"modified":"2026-03-09T17:13:20","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T16:13:20","slug":"ecoser-contribution-of-marine-ecosystem-services-of-protected-natural-areas-to-human-well-being","status":"publish","type":"programa_pleamar","link":"https:\/\/fundacion-biodiversidad.es\/en\/programa_pleamar\/ecoser-contribution-of-marine-ecosystem-services-of-protected-natural-areas-to-human-well-being\/","title":{"rendered":"ECOSER &#8211; Contribution of marine ecosystem services of protected natural areas to human well-being."},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The ECOSER project is proposed in order to identify and promote synergies within the consortium and outside it; to evaluate the state of marine ecosystem services (SEM) of three protected natural areas under study (Atlantic Islands Maritime-Terrestrial National Park, Cabo de Gata-N\u00edjar Maritime-Terrestrial Natural Park and Os Mi\u00f1arzos Marine Reserve of Fishing Interest), through the application of environmental, social and economic variables; analysing the contribution of EMS to meeting the objectives of the Framework Directive of the European Marine Strategy and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); and, finally, to raise awareness in society about the relevance of EMS for human well-being.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The SEMs, which will be evaluated in a systematic and homogeneous way in the three case studies, are professional fishing, tourism and recreational activities, nature conservation and coastal governance and planning.
