It addresses the loss of connectivity, which compromises the genetic health of populations, water quality, and favors invasive species and diseases. Through sampling and non-invasive technologies, biodiversity monitoring and early detection of invasive species are promoted, with special attention to umbrella species such as the Iberian desman, threatened by fragmentation, and the American mink.
