MARVIVA aims to achieve an effective ecological restoration of vegetated coastal ecosystems by designing biodegradable structures adapted to the various species of marine angiosperms (also called marine phanerogams or seagrasses, they are plants with flowers, roots and stems that live submerged in the sea). These structures will be manufactured from a biopolymer that guarantees their biodegradation in a defined aquatic environment, maintaining their functionality for the time required to guarantee the repopulation of seagrass meadows and complete degradation after such use.
