{"id":97852555,"date":"2024-04-22T09:56:46","date_gmt":"2024-04-22T07:56:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fundacion-biodiversidad.es\/proyecto_prtr\/palencia-model-forest-bmp\/"},"modified":"2025-02-07T10:16:54","modified_gmt":"2025-02-07T09:16:54","slug":"palencia-model-forest-bmp","status":"publish","type":"proyecto_prtr","link":"https:\/\/fundacion-biodiversidad.es\/en\/proyecto_prtr\/palencia-model-forest-bmp\/","title":{"rendered":"PALENCIA MODEL FOREST (BMP)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This project aims to contribute to the integral development of the municipal forest bioeconomy in the territorial framework of the Palencia Model Forest through process innovation and social intervention.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, the project relaunches the BM of Palencia, composed of 91 municipalities and 4,067.48 km2, to activate the territory with the involvement of the municipalities, providing them with transferable and replicable knowledge, tools and innovative actions. Quercus, pine and poplar forests predominate, with extraction rates of 25% for conifers and 18% for hardwoods, so there is a great opportunity in the mobilization of timber and other forest resources due to the degree of abandonment of forest management.<\/p>\n<p>The main barriers that the project seeks to overcome are of a technical, legal and socioeconomic nature, with an innovative, integrative and social intervention approach for the dynamization of local agents.
