{"id":49557,"date":"2023-11-23T12:38:56","date_gmt":"2023-11-23T11:38:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fundacion-biodiversidad.es\/proyectos_ficha\/audouins-gull-as-a-tool-for-improving-rampe-management-in-the-spanish-levant-gaudin\/"},"modified":"2025-04-24T13:51:40","modified_gmt":"2025-04-24T11:51:40","slug":"audouins-gull-as-a-tool-for-improving-rampe-management-in-the-spanish-levant-gaudin","status":"publish","type":"proyectos_ficha","link":"https:\/\/fundacion-biodiversidad.es\/en\/proyectos_ficha\/audouins-gull-as-a-tool-for-improving-rampe-management-in-the-spanish-levant-gaudin\/","title":{"rendered":"Audouin&#8217;s gull as a tool for improving RAMPE management in the Spanish Levant (GAUDIN)"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li>The project has contributed to improve the management of the Spanish Marine Protected Areas Network (RAMPE) and to study the movements and interactions with fisheries of the Audouin&#8217;s gull (<em>Larus audouinii<\/em>).<\/li>\n<li>The results show that the areas most used by all the gulls monitored overlap evenly with the RAMPE, which is favorable for the conservation of the Audouin&#8217;s Gull population that breeds in the Salinas de San Pedro del Pinatar (Region of Murcia).<\/li>\n<li>It has been determined that the existence of the RAMPE is a good tool for the protection of the areas used by Audouin&#8217;s Gulls, but it is still necessary to implement management measures to reduce human pressure in many of these areas.<\/li>\n<li>Almost all (92 %) interactions between Audouin&#8217;s Gulls and fishing vessels occurred with the purse seine and trawl fleets.<\/li>\n<li>Twenty-three percent of the interactions between Audouin&#8217;s Gulls (21% for adults and 32% for juveniles) and fishing boats took place within RAMPE areas.<\/li>\n<li><em>Larus audouinii<\/em> is a vulnerable seabird on a national scale, threatened by bycatch, dependence on fisheries rejection, pollution of the marine environment, and the use as breeding grounds of environments highly transformed by human activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"author":11,"featured_media":49552,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false},"financiaci_n":[650],"lineas_actuacion_tematicas":[655],"class_list":["post-49557","proyectos_ficha","type-proyectos_ficha","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","financiaci_n-fundacion-biodiversidad-en","lineas_actuacion_tematicas-marine-ecosystems"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.9 -
