The project seeks to deepen the mainstreaming of adaptation to climate change in both the private and public sectors.<\/p>\n
Spain is, due to its geographical location and socioeconomic characteristics, vulnerable to climate change. That is why our country needs an adaptation that involves an evaluation plan and planning of actions. To achieve this, the Spanish Office for Climate Change (OECC) launched a project in 2013 aimed at developing these adaptation actions. <\/p>\n
This initiative aims to deepen the objectives of this plan through a participatory methodology and pilot organizations that allow the expected results to be adjusted to the reality of the Spanish sectors.<\/p>\n
The project will be organised around two axes. The first will be based on the identification and definition of adaptation measures for the selected sectors, as well as their subsequent publication and dissemination in presentation days, leaflets and the internet. <\/p>\n
The second axis will consist of the integration of adaptation to climate change into sectoral policies. A mainstreaming methodology will be proposed after having considered the regulations pertaining to the areas of public policy related to this adaptation. Subsequently, an integration proposal will be drawn up, which will be contrasted in sectoral workshops of the public administration.
