The NGO Friends of the Earth will carry out collaboration and representation tasks before the General State Administration and the European Union for the preparation, implementation and monitoring of environmental policies, with special emphasis on the areas of climate change and energy, waste and natural resources and agriculture and food.<\/p>\n

The NGO Friends of the Earth will carry out collaboration and representation tasks before the General State Administration and the European Union for the preparation, implementation and monitoring of environmental policies, with special emphasis on the areas of climate change and energy, waste and natural resources and agriculture and food.<\/p>\n

Friends of the Earth will participate throughout 2012 in the elaboration, implementation and monitoring of environmental policies, in general, by being a member of the Advisory Council on the Environment.<\/p>\n

It will also hold regular meetings with the Minister of Agriculture, Food and the Environment, and will specifically hold meetings on climate change\/energy, waste\/natural resources and agriculture\/food.<\/p>\n

This work will be carried out mainly with state political leaders, in order to contribute to the Spanish government’s decision-making on environmental matters at the national, European and international levels. In turn, for certain issues, Friends of the Earth will intervene directly in European participation bodies, in direct contact with commissioners and MEPs. <\/p>\n

The technical work itself to carry out this task will be carried out thanks to the entity’s specialized personnel in each area. It will be complemented by communication activities, mainly through notes, press conferences and interviews, and the use of social networks. Contributions will take the form of documentation, position papers and attendance at meetings. <\/p>\n
