The project “Like a fish in water” is promoted by the Organization of Fish Farming Producers (OPP), a national organization of a professional nature, whose purpose is to represent the business sector of Spanish continental aquaculture and the promotion of socially responsible behaviors for sustainable aquaculture.

The fact that the initiative is promoted by the OPP is of vital importance, given that this association integrates most of the Spanish continental aquaculture companies, which will facilitate access to workers in the sector, the final recipients of the project.<\/p>\n
The project proposes the development of various actions aimed at promoting employment, training workers and advising companies in the continental aquaculture sector. All this by promoting the adoption of energy efficiency practices that ensure the economic viability of their activities and respect for the environment. <\/p>\n
The general objective of this initiative is to implement a series of actions aimed at promoting job creation in the field of inland aquaculture by promoting the adoption, by companies in the sector, of energy efficiency practices.<\/p>\n
Within this general framework, this project sets out another series of more specific objectives:<\/p>\n

The initiative is therefore conceived as a first boost to the sustainability of the continental aquaculture sector and it is intended that the workers will give continuity to it after its completion. The recipients are workers in the continental aquaculture sector located in the Autonomous Communities of Castilla-La Mancha, Cantabria, Asturias, Aragon and Extremadura. <\/p>\n
The project will provide training for 50 recipients, although the project will reach 250 workers.
