The project aims to preserve and recover through the stewardship of the territory and environmental volunteering, the high ecological and landscape value of the Tenes River, specifically on the river promenade and on the private estate “La Central del Fai”.<\/p>\n

The project aims to preserve and recover through the stewardship of the territory and environmental volunteering, the high ecological and landscape value of the Tenes River, specifically on the river promenade and on the private estate “La Central del Fai”.<\/p>\n
To this end, knowledge and respectful use of the river by citizens will be promoted, ensuring that the resources around it are used sustainably.<\/p>\n
More specifically, it is intended to develop two different river stewardship projects. One is coordinated entirely by the entity, where volunteers carry out specific and specific tasks, which can be non-permanent rotational groups, and another where the entity provides technical and economic support to a fixed group of volunteers. <\/p>\n
Subsequently, it will be established which of the two stewardship processes can be established as a model of citizen participation that can be exported to other regions and countries.<\/p>\n
Thus, environmental recovery, improvement and social revaluation actions will be carried out on the Tenes river as it passes through Bigues i Riells, involving the different sectors of the population in the project, through a dynamic campaign of dissemination, awareness and environmental education.<\/p>\n
The fauna and flora will be identified and also the unique cultural elements to be preserved, through studies of the ecological and biogeographical characteristics of the Tenes River.<\/p>\n
