Reduction of mortality of small vertebrates due to unnatural causes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n            <span>This project aims to reduce the mortality of amphibians, reptiles and small vertebrates due to unnatural causes, and more specifically, to roadkills.<\/span>\n          <\/p>\n<p>          <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>This project aims to reduce the mortality of amphibians, reptiles and small vertebrates due to unnatural causes, and more specifically, to roadkills.<\/p>\n<p>More specifically, it seeks to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To know the situation of certain points of the Spanish geography in relation to the collision of amphibians and small vertebrates.<\/li>\n<li>To reduce and avoid mortality in amphibians and small vertebrates in geographical points already studied.<\/li>\n<li>To disseminate the problem of collisions of small vertebrates in the environments of action and among the general public.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The activities to be carried out are:<\/p>\n<p>1. Field study of the &#8220;black spots&#8221; to account for incidents.<br \/>2. Census of populations in the affected ecosystems.<br \/>3. Study of migrations of affected species (common toad, runner toad, salamander and badger.)<br \/>4. Amphibian rescues during the migration season.<br \/>5. Installation of barriers and signage.<br \/>6. Improvement of habitats, cleaning of ponds, lagoons, watering holes, fountains, etc.<br \/>7. Issuance of press releases on the activities carried out and edition of audiovisual material.<br \/>8.
