{"id":97860606,"date":"2014-03-24T12:26:38","date_gmt":"2014-03-24T11:26:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fundacion-biodiversidad.es\/proyectos_ficha\/socialization-of-piav-protection-protocols-in-the-cordillera-azul-national-park\/"},"modified":"2014-03-24T12:26:38","modified_gmt":"2014-03-24T11:26:38","slug":"socialization-of-piav-protection-protocols-in-the-cordillera-azul-national-park","status":"publish","type":"proyectos_ficha","link":"https:\/\/fundacion-biodiversidad.es\/en\/proyectos_ficha\/socialization-of-piav-protection-protocols-in-the-cordillera-azul-national-park\/","title":{"rendered":"Socialization of PIAV protection protocols in the Cordillera Azul National Park"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The objective of the project is to contribute to the protection of indigenous peoples in voluntary isolation living in the Cordillera Azul National Park and its surrounding areas, in Peru, guaranteeing the conservation of biodiversity in the area.<\/p>\n<p>          <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The objective of the project is to contribute to the protection of indigenous peoples in voluntary isolation living in the Cordillera Azul National Park and its surrounding areas, in Peru, guaranteeing the conservation of biodiversity in the area.<\/p>\n<div>This initiative aims to proceed with the socialization of the documents established in the first phase of the project, which sought to support the Indigenous Peoples in Voluntary Isolation (PIAV) Cacataibo, who live in the southeast area of the Cordillera Azul National Park.<\/div>\n<p>Thus, different actions were carried out, such as the preparation of a diagnosis, the design of tools that allow their presence in the area to be recorded and systematized, an anthropological plan, which establishes the policies and general guidelines of how to behave with these populations, and a contingency plan, which determines the protocols of behavior in case of contact.<\/p>\n<p>In this second phase, work will be done with the communities settled in transit zones of these Indigenous Populations in Voluntary Isolation to sensitize them to the issue, and at the regional and national level, fundamentally with the authorities and other agents who work in the area or work on the issue, to consolidate its implementation.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, it has been considered necessary to strengthen the response capacity of parts of the ranger corps in the area, to ensure the protection of the PIAVs against pressure from external agents who intend to contact them.
