However, these grants have an expiry date, so sustainable economic alternatives must be favoured in these areas, already immersed in a process of demographic decline. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>          <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>          <span>The regions of La Vera, Campo Ara\u00f1uelo and Valle de Alag\u00f3n have an economy based on tobacco cultivation, which maintains its profitability thanks to aid from the European Union. However, these grants have an expiry date, so sustainable economic alternatives must be favoured in these areas, already immersed in a process of demographic decline. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>This project proposes a participatory rural process focused on planning lines of action in line with the social fabric of the regions involved.
