That is why, from Tarija, in southern Bolivia, the Native Foundation is working, with the support of the Biodiversity Foundation, for the creation of the Trinational Biosphere Reserve of the South American Gran Chaco. <\/p>\n<p>          <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Natural protected areas favor economic growth in Latin America. That is why, from Tarija, in southern Bolivia, the Native Foundation is working, with the support of the Biodiversity Foundation, for the creation of the Trinational Biosphere Reserve of the South American Gran Chaco. <\/p>\n<p>It is an ecozone that covers a large part of northern Argentina, eastern Bolivia, Paraguay and a corner of Brazil. In alliance with the Argentine entity Pro-Yungas and the Paraguayan Mois\u00e9s Bertoni, the aim is to improve the management of that territory. <\/p>\n<p>The Gran Chaco is a forested plain whose formation, millions of years ago, is linked to the origins of the Andes Mountains.
