The project aims to promote sustainable tourism in the region of San Lu\u00eds, in Senegal, as a complementary and non-competitive tourist offer for the 14 million tourists and regular residents of the Canary Islands.<\/p>\n
To do this, it takes advantage of the enormous potential of this destination in the so-called “Black Africa” and the short distance that separates it from the archipelago, approximately 2 hours of flight.<\/p>\n
In this way, a joint work of the Senegalese and Spanish authorities, as well as with all the sectors involved, is proposed, in order to be able to begin to outline strategies that allow the design of tourist packages of 3 or 4 days, not competitive with the Canary Islands, based on the special relevance of the natural and cultural values of the environment. which includes a Biosphere Reserve, two National Parks, a Wildlife Reserve, Ramsar areas and a World Heritage city less than 40 km away.<\/p>\n
