Mainstreaming adaptation to climate change, both in the public and private sectors, is a priority for the Spanish Office for Climate Change (OECC).

\nSpain, due to its geographical location and socio-economic characteristics, can be considered vulnerable to climate change. Reducing vulnerability requires adaptation to climate change, which cannot be achieved without assessing the national situation and planning actions. Mainstreaming adaptation to climate change, both in the public and private sectors, is a priority for the Spanish Office for Climate Change (OECC). <\/p>\n

At the beginning of 2013, the OECC launched a project (ADAPTA Initiative) aimed at developing adaptation actions, focused on the private sector. This project goes a step further and seeks to delve into the analysis of real possibilities of action in the private sector, as well as in the public administration, through the mainstreaming of adaptation to climate change. <\/p>\n
