It develops informative and pedagogical actions, carried out in the territorial area defined under a common strategy based on the trinomial: “conservation in pine forest landscapes-resinated forest ecosystems-job creation”. It will publicize the world of resin, its sustainable management with the conservation of the natural landscape, its past, present and future importance, as well as establish the criteria applicable to occupational training to expand the employment possibilities that open up to the affected rural populations. <\/p>\n
To this end, the development of technical-pedagogical discussion forums or dissemination actions, such as informative workshops for local development agents and employment counsellors, is proposed. These will be carried out supported by an itinerant informative exhibition on the ecosystems of ‘Pinus pinaster’ and resination, together with a specific web application and audiovisual, as own materials prepared for the project based on the application of ICT. <\/p>\n
These actions are aimed at regions with potentially resin-producing pine forests, distributed throughout Spain, where this type of pine forest accounts for about 2 million hectares, 11% of the national wooded forest area. To this end, there will be the collaboration and involvement in its execution of the City Councils of the forest regions of the 10 provinces exposed, with which prior contact has been established. <\/p>\n
At the same time, it should be taken into account that Spain imports 50,000 tonnes of resin and 300,000 tonnes in Europe, while only 1% is produced.
