{"id":97860935,"date":"2015-09-07T11:16:14","date_gmt":"2015-09-07T09:16:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fundacion-biodiversidad.es\/proyectos_ficha\/stewardship-of-the-territory-of-the-muntanya-del-voltor-de-valldemossa\/"},"modified":"2015-09-07T11:16:14","modified_gmt":"2015-09-07T09:16:14","slug":"stewardship-of-the-territory-of-the-muntanya-del-voltor-de-valldemossa","status":"publish","type":"proyectos_ficha","link":"https:\/\/fundacion-biodiversidad.es\/en\/proyectos_ficha\/stewardship-of-the-territory-of-the-muntanya-del-voltor-de-valldemossa\/","title":{"rendered":"Stewardship of the territory of the Muntanya del Voltor de Valldemossa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This project aims to reconcile the recovery and conservation of the natural and ethnological heritage of the &#8220;Muntanya del Voltor&#8221;.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nThis project was born with the aim <strong>of reconciling the recovery and conservation of the natural and ethnological heritage of the Muntanya del Voltor<\/strong>, as well as the interests of its owners <strong>with tourism<\/strong>, hiking and educational activity in the municipality of Valldemossa, in the Sierra de Tramuntana (Mallorca).<\/p>\n<p>Thus, the initiative of Fundaci\u00f3n Vida Silvestre has wanted to<strong>to create the conditions conducive to the recovery of biodiversity, undergrowth and forest mass<\/strong> of this natural environment. In addition, it has sought to achieve a reduction in threats to the habitat and species of the place and to mobilise private, public and social participation in the stewardship of the environment. <\/p>\n<p>Within the framework of this project, <strong>three kilometres of clean<\/strong> and rehabilitated roads have been achieved and <strong>three environmental information and land stewardship points<\/strong> have been set up, one of which is an information booth. An efficient team of environmental guides and conservationists has also been established with the territory and the intensity of the passage of visitors in the area has been reduced. <\/p>\n<p><strong>The risk of forest fire in the area has been minimised<\/strong> and the forest mass has been cleaned up. In addition, an action plan has been drawn up for the recovery of biodiversity and the original forest, with an inventory and a monitoring programme of flora and avifauna. <\/p>\n<p>Other activities have also been carried out, such as the <strong>signing of a land stewardship agreement with four private estates<\/strong> and another with the Valldemossa town council. Finally, an operational website on the project has been launched in four languages (Spanish, Catalan, English and German) and a database of companies and guides in the mountain tourism sector is available. <\/p>\n<p>Some of the activities developed during the project have been:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Management of tourist and hiking use in the Muntanya del Voltor<\/li>\n<li>Recovery of the understory and biodiversity of the area<\/li>\n<li>Establishment of land stewardship agreements<\/li>\n<li>Project communication actions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"author":11,"featured_media":22405,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false},"financiaci_n":[650],"lineas_actuacion_tematicas":[654],"class_list":["post-97860935","proyectos_ficha","type-proyectos_ficha","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","financiaci_n-fundacion-biodiversidad-en","lineas_actuacion_tematicas-terrestrial-ecosystems"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.9 -
