In this way, timber and non-timber forest products are obtained in areas integrated with or adjacent to the Natura 2000 Network, produced by owners of small forest management units, forests with low management intensity or community forests. <\/p>\n<p>Thus, this initiative of the Association to Promote the Rational Use of Forest Products and Services (FSC Spain) seeks to <strong>reactivate the use of forest resources<\/strong> through sustainable forest management in areas of high ecological value. It also aims to <strong>promote FSC-labelled products derived from the forest<\/strong>, as an ecological and conservation guarantee in the areas of the Natura 2000 Network. Finally, it intends to achieve rural development through trade in products and the promotion of employment in the areas.  <\/p>\n<p>Among the expected results under the project is the<strong> creation of at least one new FSC forest management <\/strong>or chain of custody certification initiative.
