For this reason, the <strong> <\/strong>Association of Hunters and Fishermen of Bardenas and Irrigation Community of the Fair intends to create<strong> supply posts with carrion from extensive sheep farming<\/strong>.<br \/>These points will be maintained throughout the year, since <strong>the Egyptian vulture is not the only species that can access this fixed food<\/strong>. Some of the birds that can also benefit from the stalls are; the red kite, the black kite, the marsh harrier and other species that use the park in their migrations such as the bearded vulture or the black vulture. <\/p>\n<p>Among some of the activities framed within the project is firstly the carrying out of a survey of<strong> livestock farmers<\/strong> in the area to find out the number of dead cattle throughout the year and their temporal distribution. Next, and related to the previous one, it will be distributed <strong>Informative material for farmers<\/strong> explaining the <strong>risks of using rodenticides<\/strong> on farms and encouraging the <strong>use of owl <\/strong>, owl and common kestrel nest boxes as an alternative. Other actions included in the initiative are the <strong>creation of a supplementary feeding point<\/strong> and <strong>awareness of the early detection of risks for the Egyptian vulture through training talks<\/strong> aimed at agents of the environmental authority.
