Development of an environmental cartographic base, biodiversity indicators and proposals for good practices on private farms with land stewardship agreements&#8221;, with the aim of improving the conservation of species and the management of private natural spaces through land stewardship agreements.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The Friends of the Imperial Eagle, Iberian Lynx and Private Natural Spaces Foundation (FAAI), which had already been a beneficiary of aid on six occasions, has once again been a beneficiary in the 2018 Call for Grants with the project &#8220;Promotion of Land Stewardship for the Conservation of Private Areas of Natural Interest. Development of an environmental cartographic base, biodiversity indicators and proposals for good practices on private farms with land stewardship agreements&#8221;. Its purpose has been to <strong>to improve the conservation of species and the management of private natural spaces through land stewardship agreements.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This project has achieved the development of an <strong>environmental cartographic base, the identification of biodiversity indicators and the proposal of good practices on private farms with land stewardship agreements.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Twenty-three stewardship agreements have been signed and 40,863.54 hectares of private farms, included in natural areas, have been integrated into this project. 400 cartographic documents have been generated from 23 different locations throughout Spain. The different species of fauna, natural habitats, natural spaces, as well as other abiotic elements important for the management of the territory such as altitude, slope or soil types, among others, have been identified.
