To prevent the loss of watercourse ecosystems, an action has been carried out for the restoration of riverbeds and semi-arid rivers in the southeast of the Peninsula.
\n<\/p>\n

The Association of Naturalists of the Southeast<\/a> (ANSE) was a beneficiary in the 2017 Call for Grants for the implementation of the project “Adaptation to Global Change of wadi ecosystems in semi-arid environments through ecological restoration”.<\/p>\n

The project has developed a demonstration action to adapt the watercourse ecosystem to the effects of climate change through the restoration of the watercourse ecosystem<\/strong>, through the elimination of exotic species and subsequent replacement by native species. The action has been implemented around 4 hectares of wadi beds and semi-arid rivers in the southeast. Actions to control exotic species have been carried out on almost 2 hectares and more than 700 seedlings of twenty native species have been planted. <\/p>\n

On the other hand, work has been done on the design of different dissemination strategies and programs, which include information, education and environmental participation at different levels and through different strategies, such as seminars, volunteering, programs in educational centers and content for the media.
