The “SALUDAPT” project has been completed by the Trade Union Institute of Work, Environment and Health (ISTAS), to improve the development plans and health strategies of workers in the face of climate change, especially those exposed to the outdoors and high temperatures.
\n<\/p>\n

The Trade Union Institute of Work, Environment and Health (ISTAS) has completed the project ‘SALUDAPT. Territorial strategies for adaptation and health protection in the face of climate change’. This initiative has had the support of the Biodiversity Foundation of the Ministry for Ecological Transition within the framework of its 2017 call for grants. <\/p>\n

Its purpose has been to contribute to the development of territorial plans and strategies for adaptation and health protection in the face of the incidence of climate change<\/p>\n

The conference has been organised in Bilbao, Seville and Valencia within the framework of the SALUDAPT project, where more than 165 people have attended and leading speakers of responsibility in the field of climate change, public health and occupational health from Autonomous Communities, Provincial Councils, City Councils, Regional Institutes for the prevention of occupational risks, companies, business and trade union organisations have participated. research and dissemination centres, and other public entities.<\/p>\n

Good practices and experiences of interest have been identified in five autonomous communities, one provincial council and six city councils.<\/p>\n

For dissemination, ten good practices and relevant experiences in the field of occupational health have been compiled, particularly in outdoor work and in the sectors most exposed to high temperatures such as construction, agriculture and livestock and the service sector.<\/p>\n
