{"id":97861229,"date":"2019-04-01T14:50:15","date_gmt":"2019-04-01T12:50:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fundacion-biodiversidad.es\/proyectos_ficha\/sustainable-synergies-of-chestnut-and-pig-native-to-the-celtic-trunk-for-their-conservation\/"},"modified":"2019-04-01T14:50:15","modified_gmt":"2019-04-01T12:50:15","slug":"sustainable-synergies-of-chestnut-and-pig-native-to-the-celtic-trunk-for-their-conservation","status":"publish","type":"proyectos_ficha","link":"https:\/\/fundacion-biodiversidad.es\/en\/proyectos_ficha\/sustainable-synergies-of-chestnut-and-pig-native-to-the-celtic-trunk-for-their-conservation\/","title":{"rendered":"Sustainable synergies of chestnut and pig native to the Celtic trunk for their conservation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Regional Service for Agri-Food Research and Development (SERIDA) was a beneficiary in the 2017 Call for Grants with the project &#8220;Sustainable synergies of the chestnut and the native pig of the Celtic trunk for its conservation&#8221;, which aims to mitigate the decline of native pig breeds of the Celtic trunk (Porco Celta and Gochu Asturcelta) and the chestnut tree.<\/p>\n<p>The project has involved the transfer of knowledge related to the extensive production of native pigs from the Celtic trunk in a chestnut mass in the Asturian-Galician area taking advantage of tree pastures, acorns and chestnuts, obtained in previous research projects and in the experience and innovations developed by collaborating associations. It has promoted agroforestry education and awareness, achieving interest in the synergy between the native pig and the chestnut in the media, public administration, academia and the general public. 3 unpublished didactic documents, 2 polydiptychs and 4 informative videos of sanitation and productive improvement activities have been prepared. <strong>The sustainable synergy between the chestnut and the pig of the Celtic trunk contributes to the conservation of its gene pool and to preserve biodiversity in the <em>Castanea sativa<\/em> species<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":11,"featured_media":22405,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false},"financiaci_n":[],"lineas_actuacion_tematicas":[654],"class_list":["post-97861229","proyectos_ficha","type-proyectos_ficha","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","lineas_actuacion_tematicas-terrestrial-ecosystems"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.9 -
