IVERCAM aims to develop tools to implement green infrastructure networks to mitigate the effects of climate change in mountain areas of the Iberian Peninsula.
\n<\/p>\n

Within the framework of the IVERCAM project, a set of tools has been developed thanks to which green infrastructure networks can be implemented to mitigate the effects of climate change in mountain areas of the Iberian Peninsula. It is an initiative of the University of Cantabria<\/a> that has the support of the Biodiversity Foundation within the framework of its call for grants. <\/p>\n

The initiative “Development of a methodology for the Implementation of VERdes Infrastructures as a measure of adaptation to climate change in Mountain Areas of the Iberian Peninsula (IVERCAM)” has made it possible to develop a cartography and technical guidelines for the design of a Green Infrastructure network in three Mountain National Parks (Picos de Europa National Park, Sierra de Guadarrama National Park and Sierra Nevada National Park) considering this as an element of adaptive management in the face of the challenges posed by global change in this type of spaces (change of land use and climate change). The optimisation of the landscape structure in order to improve hydrological functioning and maximise connectivity has been the basic criterion to which the proposed green infrastructure would respond. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":11,"featured_media":22405,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false},"financiaci_n":[],"lineas_actuacion_tematicas":[670],"class_list":["post-97861269","proyectos_ficha","type-proyectos_ficha","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","lineas_actuacion_tematicas-drivers-of-biodiversity-loss"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"\nIVERCAM Project -
