{"id":97861492,"date":"2018-12-06T20:05:45","date_gmt":"2018-12-06T19:05:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fundacion-biodiversidad.es\/proyectos_ficha\/conservation-of-gorgonian-forests-in-the-face-of-climate-change-pruning-dead-branches-as-a-management-tool-podagorg\/"},"modified":"2018-12-06T20:05:45","modified_gmt":"2018-12-06T19:05:45","slug":"conservation-of-gorgonian-forests-in-the-face-of-climate-change-pruning-dead-branches-as-a-management-tool-podagorg","status":"publish","type":"proyectos_ficha","link":"https:\/\/fundacion-biodiversidad.es\/en\/proyectos_ficha\/conservation-of-gorgonian-forests-in-the-face-of-climate-change-pruning-dead-branches-as-a-management-tool-podagorg\/","title":{"rendered":"Conservation of gorgonian forests in the face of climate change: pruning dead branches as a management tool (PODAGORG)"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><strong>The PODAGORG project has carried out pruning actions of dead gorgonian branches to validate this technique as a management tool in the restoration of forests affected by the effects of climate change and water warming.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Pruning and control actions have been carried out (the technique has not been applied) in specimens of red gorgonians (Paramuricea clavata) and white gorgonians (Eunicella singularis), finding significant differences between both treatments, proving to be a beneficial technique to improve their population viability.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>After one year of experiment, the use of this technique does not show significant differences in the reproductive effort of pruned gorgonians compared to control gorgonians, except in male colonies of E. singularis, where an increase in reproductive effort is observed.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>A study is being carried out to evaluate the possible benefits in reproductive effort after two years of pruning action to obtain more conclusive results.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"author":11,"featured_media":22405,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false},"financiaci_n":[],"lineas_actuacion_tematicas":[670],"class_list":["post-97861492","proyectos_ficha","type-proyectos_ficha","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","lineas_actuacion_tematicas-drivers-of-biodiversity-loss"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.9 -
